About this tool

How Backup & Recovery Readiness works

Answer questions in four areas: what protects each Microsoft 365 workload, your backup strategy, your resilience and recovery targets, and how mature your operations are, such as whether restores are tested.

You get a score for each area, the gaps found and recommendations. Retention in Microsoft 365 isn't the same as a backup, and this check helps you see where you rely on one in place of the other.

Questions

Does it connect to my tenant?

Nothing. You answer questions from what you know about your tenant, or can check in the admin centres; the tool doesn't sign in to Microsoft 365 or read anything from it.

Where do my answers go?

Your answers stay in your browser and are worked out there. The site only counts, anonymously, that the tool was opened, finished or downloaded.
